## History

- 1934: Grandmother Maria arrives in Hochsölden, initially running the small property "Pulverhüttl"
- 1936: Construction of Hotel Alpenfriede begins, initially without electricity or running water
- 1939: Maria marries Wilhelm Lengler, son Gustl is born
- 1947: Wilhelm returns from the war, the couple rebuild the hotel together
- Today: Family-run business for almost 90 years, now in its third and fourth generation

## Getting There

- By car: A12 Inntal motorway, Ötztal exit, then approx. 40 km on the Ötztaler Straße (B186) to Sölden; shortly before the end of the village, the well-signposted Gletscherstraße branches off to the right towards Hochsölden
- Winter note: snow chains may be required on the Hochsöldenstraße, though the road is cleared regularly
- By train: via Innsbruck to Ötztal station, then regular bus connections to Sölden/Hochsölden
- By air: Innsbruck Airport approx. 1 hour away, Ötztal Shuttle or private transfer available
- Parking: underground garage €14/day (limited spaces), outdoor parking free of charge
